Advantages
If variety is the spice of life, then bars are so spicy they'll give you heartburn. They do afford you ample opportunity to "scope out the talent" before singling out a woman to approach. Bars can build your confidence or blast your ego so it behooves you to cultivate thickness of skin, good taste, the right timing, witty repartee, and a handsome appearance. If, by chance, you get shot out of the saddle, there are always plenty of others to choose from. The odds improve considerably the more women you approach.

Disdvantages
Women in bars are - and are not -available. The problem stems primarily from a difference in agendas. Most men aren't there to find a wife or even a girlfriend. Most men are there to get LAID !. Many women, on the other hand, go to bars just to flirt, and since bars are superficial environments (meaning everyone is being evaluated on how he/she looks), you're going to be judged superficially, too (how tall ? how handsome ? how rich ? how available ?). Know going in that sexuality some women use to get your attention is all smoke and mirros. Don't be deceived by the tight skirts and half bare bosoms. Most women dress sexy because it makes them feel desirable.
