Pumping
Gas Norman,
a purchasing agent for the hospital, met her husband,
Ted, at the gas pump. She had trouble unscrewing the gas
cap and asked the man at the next stall for help. He
assisted in removing the cap for her; then invited her
to lunch. She agreed to meet him a few hours later.
During the meal, they discovered they had mutual friends
and much in common. Such coincidence amazed them both
and they dated from that moment on until their wedding
day.
Talking out the trash Valerie, an attractive esthetician, met her
husband while hauling her trash cans out to the roadside
curb. Milton, a tall, blonde, computer software
salesman, lived two doors down and was outdoors when he
spotted Valerie doing her chorse. He thought she was
cute, walked over to her, and invited her to a
neighborhood barbecue at his house - an undertaking he
hadn't done before or since.
Valerie didn't think Milton was
her type, but she kept going out with him because there
was no reason to break it off. Much to her surprise,
after three months, she found he was one of the most
attentive, good-hearted men she'd ever met. Appreciating
these qualities in him, her admiration and respect for
him grew, until she understood he was the one she truly
loved and, in the end, married.
In the apartment complex Jennifer, a nurse and diabetes educator, met her
husband in her apartment complex. Jeff noticed her as
she moved in and asked if he could help with the heavy
boxes. She was happy to have the extra assistance. For
the next few weeks he stopped to chat. Shortly after, he
offered to take her to a new local restaurant, and she
agreed to go. She thought him charming, and appreciated
his determination in pursuing her. Last year they were
married. This year they had a bouncing baby boy.
